I justed wanted to let everyone know that starting next summer (date as yet to
be determined) there will be an annual alumni picnic for our class. Legna and I will also plan the 25 year reunion if there
is enough of an interest in one. Check back this site for more annoucements. Thank you to all of you who have shown us all
the support in the planning of our past and future gathering.

Hey fellow Olympians,
I have received many emails about the recent passing of Mr. Don Cameron.
I thought that I would pass along the information I have that his daughter posted on Classmates and fowarded to the Class
of 1981 webmaster, Terry Poulblon.. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Thanks Terry for sending me the information.

At 1245 PM today, I received the following email via Classmates.com
from Cindy Cameron Carpenter '73...
Hi Terry,
Thank you so much for your thoughts and kind words.
I am organizing a memorial for Wednesday around noon in Long
Beach and a wake to follow in Los Alamitos.
Would people e-mail classmates.com as soon as possible to
give me an idea of head count? If it is more than 65 people, I am going to have to move the memorial to another building
in Long beach.
I will e-mail you with my Dad's e-mail as soon as I figure
it out.
Thanks, Cindy.
There is a thread on Classmates.com message board's announcing
that Donald Cameron had passed away. You can share your thoughts here publicly with Cindy and Leuzinger's Alumni. You
don't have to be a paid member to post the messages.
Or, you can send your private message to me... and I will forward
them to Cindy Cameron's email address as soon as she provides me with one. I already have messages to pass on from Mark
Sawyer '81, Steve Sawyer '76, Phil Andrews '80, and Bobbie Hernandez '81.
Presently, Donald "Bear" Cameron's Memorial
Service is scheduled for Wednesday May 17, 2006 at approximately 12 Noon. With a wake to follow in Los Alamitos.
Please let me know if you are planning to attend so I can give Cindy an accurate head count. Or, you can email Cindy
through Classmates.com.
More detailed information of the service will be announced as soon
as it becomes available.
Terry.

I just wanted you to know that there is a new addition to our website.
Many of you didn't attend the 10 Year Reunion that was held for us. Grace (Oliver) Garcia was kind enough to lend me her copy
of the 10 Year Reunion Album to post on the site. So check it out.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this latest hurricane,
Hurricane Rita. Just like the email I sent out for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, I would like to ask those of you who
are able to help , to donate your time and/or money to the Red Cross and/or Salvation Army. So many people are now displaced
and in need of help, so if you can please help.
Also, if you haven't cast your vote for the type of reunion that
you want, please do so soon. I will be changing the poll soon, so if you want your opinions heard, please vote soon

It seems that we have a celebrity among our alumni. Today, I received an email
from our fellow classmate, Guster Cunningham (who's presently serving in Iraq), that you can see another of our classmates,
Dana Patterson, weekly on t.v.. It turns out that Dana is "Big Dane" on MTV's " Pimp My Ride". Here's to Dana's continued
success and to Gus coming home safe and sound ( as well as all our troops serving all over the world.).

I received this email from our Classmate, Dan Radek, earlier today
and thought others might like this information as well. His email is below. Thanks, Dan.
Deanna,
Thank you for your outreach and compassion!
I would also like to encourage fellow AMERICANS to help out
our family in the Gulf Coast.
I want to mention that many organizations out there are matching
contributions as well. I am the President of my local Kiwanis Club and Kiwanis International is matching contributions
from local clubs throughout the US...so as an option, you can turn your $25 donation into a $50 package. I also know
that my employer is matching contributions as well...so take a look around to see how to increase the power of your donation!
Yours in Service,
Dan Radek , LHS c/o '86

I know this site is for Class news, but I would like to take the time to say that
our hearts go out to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Many of us feel helpless to do anything. If you would like to help
out the victims of this horrible event visit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. You can reach their website at http://store.yahoo.com/redcross-donate or call them at 1 800 HELP NOW (1-800-435-7669). Any help, however big or small, will be of great help. Thank you.

A brief update- Legna (Capote) Molina has been working her tail off
trying to get the word out about the website. She is presently emailing everyone listed from our class on Classmates.com.
It's tideous work and she is limited on how many emails Classmates lets her email out everyday. So let's help her out by spreading
the word to any alumni you might keep in contact with and don't forget to leave your email address with us. Our reunion
depends on it :). And let's give a round of applause to Legna for all of her hard work. Three cheers for Legna!!! :p
I recently found another alumni site - www.graduates.com . Unlike Classmates.com, you are able to post pictures and send emails for free.
Sign up on the alumni page. We are trying to get our link added to the site.
Check it out.
